Please join us this Friday at Babi's Tasting Room at 6:00 pm when Valerie Gangas, author, speaker, life coach and owner of Wanderlust Living in Chicago, Ill., will make an exclusive trip to Los Alamos to share her life experiences and transformation with Transcendental Meditation. We first met Valerie at Casa Dumetz Wines in December after she and her friends finished a successful day of skydiving in Lompoc and were celebrating their friendship with us. Their spirits were buoyant and bright and we needed to get them back! And we finally did! About Valerie Gangas:
Valerie Gangas has her B.A. in Religious Studies from DePaul University focusing on spirituality around the globe.
I want what this girl has – these were Oprah’s words after Valerie spoke about the revolutionary effects Transcendental Meditation had in her life. A thirteen year sleeping disorder & a deep depression after her mother’s death, followed by a fateful encounter with a friend, spawned her initial foray into Transcendental Meditation. How does one transcend a dark night of the soul? Magic, she says. Upon hearing her speak, you’ll have the urge to pull up a chair, pour yourself a glass of wine & dive headfirst into a bottle of whatever she’s having. Away you’ll go, swaddled in grace, your eyes opened to the radical awareness that you do, indeed, already have, what this girl has. Join her on February 1st as she shares her story of how prayer, a touch of magic & Transcendental Meditation saved her life. Abracadabra! Welcome to Wonderlust Living!
Valerie worked with Oprah Winfrey & her employees at Harpo studios after Oprah invited TM instructors to teach her staff the technique. Valerie was on hand to speak to new meditators, before & after beginning their meditation practice. She also led group meditations twice a day for the company. She actively speaks at universities, colleges & hospitals around the Chicago land area. Including, Loyola University Medical Center, Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago & Joliet Junior College.
For fun, she likes to take long road trips with her sidekick & loyal dog, Frida (named after the artist), fly airplanes, jump out of them & spend time with good friends. All the while eating great meals with wonderful bottles of Casa Dumetz’s Gravitas Grenache.
