Please join us this Friday at Babi's Tasting Room at 6:00 pm whenSonja Magdevski and Jason Barrette will engage in a lively discussion of what happens now, in the afterglow of harvest, with clean hands (sort of) and rested feet.

I pressed my last batch of grenache into barrels on Tuesday and just like that, it was over.  It happens every year.  Yet it seems like a surprise when it begins and an utter surprise when it ends. Unceremoniously. Like any other day. Three or four months of the most stressful, time-dedicated, labor intensive activity associated with making wine. And now its gone. Leaves change colors.  The vines shut down for the winter, those poor things working so hard all year long. And we think we are exhausted.

When to harvest is perhaps the most important decision to make in the winemaking process. Now all the rest of the work begins, again.
We enter the real world, again.  We see our partners and friends, again.
I truly can't tell you what has been happening in the outside world.  An election did take place a few weeks ago, I know that. I did manage (barely) to vote.

Join Jason and I to discuss the process, the post-harvest depression that ensues, and the sheer excitement of this new vintage.
We will have barrel samples to taste from the fresh wine!

As ALWAYS - BRING QUESTIONS!

The remainder of the Casa Dumetz weekend was jam packed with beautiful spirits/ wine lovers who were eager to share our wine with their loved ones! Also, a shout out to our beloved club members who joined in on decorating our favorite little tasting room for the holidays!

Vaquera Weekend Recap!

Hello Everyone-
For those of you who could not be with us this weekend at Babi's for our fun festivities, please allow me to fill you in!
Little L.A. residents and visitors seemed to all welcome the weekend rain with open arms. After all... any time is a great time to wine taste, especially on the Central Coast.

**Blessed**

Friday, guest speaker Bryan Bass, captured the attention our vino loving crowd with a phenominal presentation on the island of Atafu. Bryan's energy was endless and his passion and experience with this small culture was not only educational, but heartwarming and humbling as well.

Bryan... Thank you for kicking off our seasonal week of giving thanks! You Rock!

Many smiling visitors from near and far also received a special tasting room surprise this weekend, following the release of our new (and extremely colorful) Babi's Grenache. This lively blend, 'The Negociant Series Part III', offers 80% Grenache fruit and 20% Syrah fruit from the Santa Ynez Valley.

*As always Casa Dumetz Fans, thank you for letting us spoil you !*

Until next time darlings.....

Live, Laugh, Love...

ALL POLITICS IS LOCAL.

Please join us this Friday at Babi's Tasting Room at 6:00 pm when YOUwill discuss what matters:
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES?

After a very very very very very too long election campaign, it is time for us to get down to what matters.  What do each and every one of us hope the president will work on and dedicate his time to within these next four years?

Come to Babi's Tasting Room this Friday and let's have a conversation and make a list of these important issues.  Regardless of who each of us voted for, let's come together and send a well drafted letter of what we believe in.

The photo above is of a bag an 8 year old created without any prompting about anything.  We will send this bag along with our list to the White House.

Let's be part of the solution.
