Nelly Swanson currently works in a federal correctional facility as a Psychologist. She moved to Central CA from Los Angeles with her husband three years ago to undertake this career choice. In Los Angeles, she worked in a psychiatric institution with the severely mentally ill and with suicidal and homicidal children. She also has experience working with at-risk youth/homeless minors, and sex offenders. She has a doctorate in Psychology, and has graduated from USC and Pepperdine University.

On August 23rd, she will expand on her unique experience working in a male federal prison as a Psychologist. She will gladly try to answer all your questions and touch on various subjects including the mentally ill in federal custody, rehabilitation, and treatment within a correctional setting.

She recently moved to Los Alamos from Lompoc and loves her new town and house with all her heart.
